Colorado Instruments, Inc. is a Registered Colorado Corporation, doing business as (DBA) SOLARMADE and Solarts®.  We manufacture a wide variety of solar (photovoltaic) powered products for educational, consumer, electronic and custom OEM markets.  Manufacturing of our Solarts® solar powered executive gifts and solar panels began in 1978.  Beginning in 1985 and continuing through June 2010, we were doing business as (DBA) "SOLAR WORLD"..

Solar Made owns a 5000 square foot manufacturing facility in Colorado Springs.  Nearly all of our solar products are proudly "Made in the USA" by our 18 dedicated employees.  The majority of our solar panels and solar battery chargers are made using Mono or Single-Crystal Silicon solar cells, many of which are Space Satellite grade, (the most efficient solar cells on the market). 

Solar Made manufactures over 80 standard solar products, and currently over 40 products for custom/OEM customers (we worked with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to develop prototype solar arrays for the Mars Sojourner rover).

Solar Made is an Authorized Stocking Distributor of PowerFilm® flexible plastic amorphous silicon solar modules for ultra thin and light-weight (portable) applications - Rollable and Foldable solar panels up to 60 watts+.

Solar Made is an Authorized Stocking Distributor for Mighty Mule® E-Z Gate solar powered automatic gate openers with over 6600 sold since 2001.
